I am contemplating if I should include this in my blog…. Should I really bring my boring work life and my “interesting” boss into this? Inspired by Rob, I decided to give it a try. Well although he doesnt know about this blog that I am writing yet, but he says if I am writing, I should write about my work encounter – with funny people and a super_funny_interesting_irritating_boss. He says this will be a master piece where people will laugh their ass off! Well, I am not so sure about this.
Anyway, I have previously writen about about my job, which I think I dislike. So today let me share something about my BOSS! I had worked with this boss previously and after I left the organization, I swear I will not work with her again! Nobody in our organization likes her, literally NOBODY. Well, I will says that she is a nice lady…. blur at times (or pretending to be one)…. always like to speak in soft and high pitch (mimicking little young girl), listen to NO ONE but herself…. NOT listening to others when they trying to talk or explain…. always wearing old looking undergarments, similarly to table cloth…. like to wipe her underarms with her finger and smelling them (well, I caught her several times while talking to her, almost want to puke at her face!)…. like to think everyones adore her which aparently is not the case….. and the list goes on.
While I am desperately trying to get out of our previous shithole, she kind of convinced me to work with her again, which I did despite being called CRAZY by all my ex-colleagues who knew her. Of couse, I did measure the pro and cons and did some consultation with my Robbie.
Working with her closely and directly is kind of a nightmare, a totally different experience afterall. We are the only member in Singapore and I am sitting just opposite her. We are confined in a very small, cozy office (will take some snap if somebody is ever reading my blog next time).
Recently we have a very important client’s event which is suppose to be her baby, but for dont know what reason, it becomes mine! Anyway, on the day of the event I told her that we will leave the office at 10:30am , judging of her terrible driving skill, I reckon we will reach our event venue at 11am. An hour to get ourselves ready. Yes, she agrees. SUDDENLY, our Majesty, changed her mind! She turned her head and says “WHY DO YOU WANT TO GO OVER THERE SO EARLY??”(Looking at me frowning). Me (shouting in my mind): WHAT?? Didn’t we just say to go there earlier to get ourselves ready?? I am totally lost! Yes, she caught me! I told her I will go there myself to check the venue. To ensure all is ok. Sshe can stay in the office for all I care!
When I thought it is over, and again suddently, she turned her head and tell me (in her unusual louder voice) to just take the gifts for our clients and DON’T BOTHER HER!! I am speechless….
What is she thinking?? Emm… are you having your PMS? Thank God, the event went well so is my day 🙂
Another funny one…
The day before, I was on my phone with a client_cum_friend chatting happily when she walks into the room from her lunch appointment. I was talking to my client about our charity group which I just joined and about some upcoming event (personal related)…. about our lunch date if it is confirm (work related as I am inviting my boss)…. about the previous event which he missed (work related too)…. and the conversation went on…. After I put down my phone, my dear boss asked who am I speaking with, what are we talking about? What event am I attending?? Hello? Do I have to report my private life or any conversation to you? And then she went on telling me that I should keep her in the loop on all the things I am doing… as we are the only 2 in the office, she should be able to access my email when I am not around!! Is is what people call Micro-Managing or Pure Insecurity?
Well…. tell me… what is going on here!
